Microsurfacing work was performed on Old Barn Rd south of Eclectic by Vance Construction and was completed Wednesday. Microsurfacing is a cost effective pavement preservation technique designed to extend the life of a road at approximately a quarter of the cost of traditional resurfacing. This is one of a couple projects that Elmore County is performing in concert with work on some Town of Deatsville and Town of Elmore streets. Packaging this work together by the towns and county allow all three entities to stretch our resources to accomplish as many improved roads as fiscally possible.
