Elmore County Administrator Elected to Serve on ACAA Board

During the Association of County Administrators of Alabama (ACAA) Annual Convention, seventeen officers were elected to serve on the Board of Directors. Elmore County Administrator, Grace McDuffie, was nominated by the nominating committee and elected by a majority vote of her peers at this year’s annual conference. She is serving her second one-year term which began in May.  Grace was chosen to serve on the Board to represent District 9 which includes Autauga, Elmore, Lowndes, and Montgomery Counties.

The ACAA is an affiliate of the Association of County Commissions of Alabama that represents professionals serving in administrative-related capacities in county government. The Association promotes principles of good government and citizenship, gives members the opportunity to form relationships with other members, provides a forum to discuss the operation of county government and encourages efficiency and professional standards for each member.

As the representative for District 9, Grace will meet with other administrators in her district twice a year to have more in depth discussions regarding common concerns of County Administrators.  Topics may include but are not limited to financial statement preparation, carrying out administrative functions in counties, budget questions, examiner’s findings, new legislation, determining new revenue sources, etc.

The Elmore County Commission would like to congratulate Ms. Grace McDuffie for being re-elected as a leader of the ACAA.  We are thankful for her willingness to serve in this capacity to help improve the administration of government in Elmore County.
