County Participates in Joint Training Program

The Elmore County Commission values partnerships with all levels of government. In times of emergency, the County looks to assist other local governments, and when necessary to receive assistance from federal, state and local partners.

In addition to emergency situations, the county participates in many ventures that increase its abilities to serve the citizens of our county. One such program is joint training to improve the quality of the equipment operators our County possesses.

Elmore County is fortunate enough to have two of the ten statewide trainers for motorgrader operators. Pictured leading some recent Association of County Engineers of Alabama sponsored training in Butler County, AL, is Chris Welch, Assistant Superintendent for the Elmore County Highway Department. Elmore County will be hosting a similar training the Week of June 20, 2017 led by Barry Smith, Assistant Superintendent for the Elmore County Highway Department.
