NOTICE OF INTENTION TO
CONSIDER THE ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE
Notice is hereby given that at its regularly scheduled meeting beginning with the work session at 5:00 p.m. on July 24, 2017, in the courtroom located on the 2nd floor at the Elmore County Courthouse located at 100 E. Commerce Street; Wetumpka, Alabama, the Elmore County Commission will consider the adoption of an ordinance to allow the Commission, “to regulate the sale of alcoholic beverages on Sundays, and any aspect thereof, for on-premises and off-premises consumption by properly licensed retail licensees serving the general public. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the County Commission outside of the corporate limits of any municipality and each municipality within its corporate limits may not permit the sale of alcoholic beverages on Sundays for on-premises consumption until after 12:00 p.m. on Sundays.” Immediately following the work session, the Commission will vote on the matter during its regularly scheduled meeting at the said address.
