Elmore County was selected to be the Alabama pilot county to develop a Local Road Safety Plan. The plan will be used to form guidelines for other counties and cities to utilize when developing their own custom plans. This plan will identify specific transportation safety goals and objectives, performance measures, and provide a plan for road safety assessments.
