Road Repairs on U.S. Highway 231 South Begins Tuesday

WETUMPKA, Ala. – The Alabama Department of Transportation will begin work on Tuesday, August 21 on U.S. Highway 231 South to correct a slide just south of the Elmore County Health Department.

There will be an outside lane closure for brief periods of time and work will begin approximately 8:30 a.m. each day. The project is set to be finished by the end of September.

Motorists should expect delays, plan accordingly, and are urged to use caution when traveling in a work zone.
