Emergency Management Agency Director’s First 2 Months on the Job

Keith Barnett started on October 1, 2018 as the Emergency Management Agency Director and has been very busy serving the county.  In October, Keith met Congresswoman Martha Roby and discussed his plans moving forward with the efforts in the EMA office.  So far in November, Keith has met with mayors, fire departments, and other partnering agencies throughout the county.  Also this month, Keith helped coordinate a full-scale exercise at the Elmore Community Hospital that helped staff and partners practice and improve disaster preparedness.  Elmore County EMA would like to thank all involved in helping make the Elmore Community Hospital Exercise a huge success: Elmore County Technical Center – Career and Technical Education (Public Safety and Health Classes), Ark of Eastern Elmore County (Sugarberry Center), Haynes Ambulance, Elmore County Sheriff’s Department, Elmore County 911, Amateur Radio Emergency Services Group (ARES), Wetumpka Police Department, Wetumpka Fire Department, Alabama Department of Public Health – Health Care Coalition, Autauga County EMA.
