County crews will be working to clean debris from the county right-of-ways beginning today in the areas of the county affected by the March 15th tornado. The EF2 tornado track is filled with downed trees as well as residential debris from structures, all located in portions of northern Elmore County.
County residents are reminded that debris on the county right-of-ways will be picked up by county forces. Debris located on private property can either be disposed of at the next Countywide cleanup on Saturday April 6th (details of eligible items and locations are listed on the county’s website at http://www.elmoreco.org or can be obtained by calling 334-567-1162 during normal operations hours) or by coordinating with Advanced Disposal (call 334-513-1541) to dispose such materials at their Tallassee landfill facilities. Residents and contractors should not place construction and demolition materials on the county right-of-ways.
