The Elmore County Highway Department began work on Taylor Road last week. The western end of the road was closed recently due to the continued deterioration of the bridge abutment wall. The Highway Department removed the old single span bridge and started installing one of the two large diameter pipes. that will take its place. Weather permitting, the work should be completed on Taylor Road by the middle of May.
