CERT Training is Underway

Community Emergency Response Team training has started for Elmore County residents. The group meets every Monday night from 6pm to 9pm to learn basic preparedness, fire safety, light search & rescue, medical triage & treatment, terrorism, CERT organization, and disaster psychology.

  • This is a free 20 hour CERT course available to anyone 13 years or older who wants to:
  • Keep themselves, family, neighbors, & the community safe; before, during, and after an emergency or disaster strikes.
  • Be prepared to help when disaster strikes until professional responders arrive and learn how to communicate and interact with responders in the most efficient way.
  • This course culminates with a simulated disaster exercise.
