Community Emergency Response Team training has started for Elmore County residents. The group meets every Monday night from 6pm to 9pm to learn basic preparedness, fire safety, light search & rescue, medical triage & treatment, terrorism, CERT organization, and disaster psychology.

- This is a free 20 hour CERT course available to anyone 13 years or older who wants to:
- Keep themselves, family, neighbors, & the community safe; before, during, and after an emergency or disaster strikes.
- Be prepared to help when disaster strikes until professional responders arrive and learn how to communicate and interact with responders in the most efficient way.
- This course culminates with a simulated disaster exercise.
