During the August 12, 2019 Commission Meeting, Elmore County announced the overwhelming success of its energy efficiency and infrastructure improvement project with Schneider Electric (SE) that has achieved $500,000 in energy savings over the course of the first two years. Before this partnership, the county faced challenges with funding maintenance issues. By partnering with SE and implementing the energy performance contracting model to fund these upgrades, the county has been able to fund major infrastructure improvements to its all of the major county facilities including the historic courthouse.
