There are several ways to be involved in community preparedness. Here are just a few ways you can be active in your community when it comes to disasters:
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) or Teen CERT; take classes in lifesaving skills, such as CPR/AED and first aid; check in with neighbors to see how you can help each other out before and after a storm.
