The Seventeen Springs Steering Committee held their inaugural meeting virtually last Wednesday. The steering committee, consisting of representatives from the Greater YMCA of Montgomery, Elmore County Board of Education, City of Millbrook, Elmore County Economic Development Authority and Elmore County Commission, met for a little over an hour to discuss logistics related to the phases of The Fields of Seventeen Springs. The steering committee recommended to the Millbrook City Council and County Commission approval of design contracts for Phase I of The Fields at Seventeen Springs. The steering committee also discussed the projected timeline for the entire project, the communications plan, and future branding/ marketing for the project. The steering committee will plan to meet monthly as the project continues to move forward.
