The Elmore County Commission thanks all the volunteers from many of our communities for their work this past weekend with the County’s Fall Cleanup. The Commission spoke at their regularly scheduled meeting Monday night during their remarks near the end of the work session. There were 17 groups throughtout the county who picked up approximately 150 bags of litter along the roadsides.
The groups known to the Commission who participated were: Stanhope Elmore Girls’ Basketball Team, Stanhope Elmore Boys’ and Girls’ Soccer Teams, Mt. Zion Chapel AME (Crenshaw), ECHS Students, Wetumpka High School Girls’ Basketball Team, Wetumpka Middle School Girls’ Basketball Team, Wetumpka Theatre Guild, Titus Community Center, Millbrook CIA, Elmore County Civic Improvement League, Elmore County NAACP, the Town of Coosada, The Church of Latter Day Saints on Chapel Road, and community groups from the Slapout area, the Fleahop area, and the Redland area.
The Commission thanks all these groups and any others who participated to help keep our county clean.
