On May 5th, 1984, President Ronald Reagan signed Proclamation 5187 creating “National Correctional Officers Week”. Since then, the first full week in May has been set aside to recognize and honor the work of correctional officers nationwide.
The County Commission extends our appreciation for the service and commitment of the men and women in our corrections industry.
