On May 5, 2022, the 17 Springs steering committee met to discuss the ongoing construction of Phase I, the progress made in The Marketplace at 17 Springs commercial development efforts, and the ongoing design of Phase II.
Phase I which will be home to The Fields at 17 Springs will include four multipurpose turf fields, one grass field, 12 tennis courts, and 12 pickle ball courts and is scheduled to be completed in the Fall of 2022.
While the construction of Phase I is ongoing, the partnership is working to complete the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) agreement for the complex. Once the O&M is finalized and the construction of Phase I is complete in the fall of 2022, opportunities for the public to utilize the facilities will be expanded beyond the activities integral to the five partnering entities.
In addition to the Phase I update, the steering committee was presented an overview of the design concept of Phase II which includes the multipurpose building The Fieldhouse. The project design consultants , Sam Henry with Dalhoff Thomas and Jeff Bassell and Jordan Staples with Seay, Seay & Litchfield presented a site plan, a 3D model rending, and a walk through of The Fieldhouse as an update to the group. Currently Phase II is planned to be bid out in late 2022/ early 2023.
